Caterersearch.com Web Awards winners revealed

High-street restaurant chain, Strada has picked up two awards in this year’s Caterersearch.com Web Awards.

Strada, part of Tragus Holding Ltd, not only scooped its category award, Restaurants – Group, but also Website of the Year, which was voted by the users of Caterersearch.com.

strada.co.uk was described by one of the judges as a website that has “a slick and professional look”, while another judge commented: “It delivers all the information I would be looking for when trying to decide where to eat.”

There were also two websites that picked up a Web Award for the second year.

Scottish five-star resort, Gleneagles.com once again picked up Hotels – independent award for its “excellent extras and ease of use”, while Alliance was commended for its “effective shop that will drive sales”, winning the Equipment Supplier Award.

In the other categories, yumyum.co.uk won the award for independent restaurant, which was a big hit with the judges for its “focus on developing repeat business” and it’s commitment to “improving the success of the conversion to revenue”.

Apexhotels.co.uk picked up the Hotels - group award which impressed the judges with its innovation and interactivity and “depth of content, ease of use and a light and friendly style”.

The Interactive/Innovative award went to beacongreenhotel.co.uk which was praised highly by one judge saying: “I learnt so much about green issues and how my hotel could make a real difference. I love this website for its innovation.”
